Got questions? We’ve got answers! Here’s everything you need to know when booking us for your wedding, party or other private event. If there’s anything we haven’t covered, please get in touch here.
Where are you based and how far do you travel?
We’re based in Cheshire but happy to travel wherever our work takes us!
When will you set up?
Typically, we aim to arrive 1 to 1.5 hours before the arranged start time to allow plenty of time for loading in and setting up. Once our PA system is in place, we can put on a Spotify playlist to help set the atmosphere and get your guests warmed up for the live sets. If you require an early arrival/set-up, please just let us know.
How long can you play for?
Performance times and set lengths are flexible to fit around your schedule. Most frequently, we’re asked for 2 x 45-minute sets or 2 x 60-minute sets, but if you have something different in mind or require more/less playing time, please just let us know.
Can I tweak the set times after I have booked you?
We appreciate your schedule may change slightly in the run-up to your event, and we’ll always do our best to accommodate any last-minute changes.
Can I pick the songs you perform from your repertoire list?
We’ll be in touch approx. 3 weeks before your date to go through all final details and logistics with you. At this time, we’ll also send you an up-to-date repertoire list from which you can choose a number of favourites for us to build your sets around. If there are any songs you don’t fancy at all, we’ll be sure to skip them.
Can you learn my first dance song or special request?
We’d love to! We’ll do our very best to learn your request – genre and instrumentation permitting. Please give us a few weeks’ notice, so we can schedule plenty of rehearsal time to get your song ready for your event.
Can you provide background music between your live sets?
Yes! We can provide a Spotify playlist and play it out through our PA system during the break(s) between our live sets. If you have your own playlist, you are welcome to send us a Spotify link, or you can plug your phone/tablet/laptop into our mixing console (all it needs is a standard headphone port). If you would like the background music to continue after the live sets are finished, please let us know in advance.
Can I borrow your mic for announcements and speeches?
Absolutely! Please note the mic is wired into our PA system, so access is only possible within the performance area.
What do I need to provide on the day?
Once we’ve arrived on site, all we need is parking for one car, a stage area of preferably 3 x 3m, a power supply nearby and cover if we are performing outdoors in unpredictable British weather.
Are you insured?
Yes! We have public liability insurance, and all our equipment is PAT-tested. The relevant documents can be provided on request.
How much do you charge?
Every event is different, and prices vary depending on the event date and location, performance times, set lengths, etc. Please contact us with your event details, so we can provide a bespoke quote for you.
Does your quote include all necessary equipment?
Yes! We come fully self-contained with our own PA system and lights. We use two 8’’ active speakers (1000 watts each), which are sufficient for most wedding and party venues. If your event is going to take place in a very large space with a substantial audience, please let us know, so we can gauge whether a more powerful set-up would be advisable (this can be hired in).
Do you offer discounted rates for off-peak events?
Yes! We offer a mid-week discount for events taking place Monday to Thursday.
Do you offer any extras?
Yes! Dan is not only a musician but also runs a commercial recording studio in the heart of Cheshire, so if you’d like us to learn a special song for you (be it your first dance song or the one you walk down the aisle to), we can provide a professional studio recording of your request after your event. This can be made available to your videographer if you wish for it to be part of your wedding film. Please give us a shout to chat through the details.
